Go Discord bot hosting

HostDC compiles Go 1.23 bots when you deploy and then keeps the binary running 24/7, on a free plan with a 256 MB RAM pool, 0.5 CPU and 512 MB storage. Because the build happens once, restarts are quick and the running bot is small.

Three steps

1. Bring your module. A go.mod and a go.sum pin what we fetch through the module proxy:

go.mod
go.sum
main.go
package main

import "os"

func main() {
    println("token length:", len(os.Getenv("DISCORD_TOKEN")))
}

2. Add your token on the Secrets tab. It arrives as os.Getenv("DISCORD_TOKEN").

3. Press Deploy. We build the module, then run the produced binary. Set the build target on the Settings tab if your entry point is not the module root.

Limits you should know

The free plan gives a 256 MB RAM pool, 0.5 CPU and 512 MB storage, and needs reactivating weekly. Mini, Lite, Pro and Max are the paid plans: Lite is $1.69 a month. Pro is $2.49 a month with an HTTPS port per bot. The pricing page has the table.

FAQ

Which Go version is used?

Go 1.23. It is the only version available today. A newer toolchain would arrive as a runtime option you pick yourself.

Do builds count against my CPU pool?

No. Builds run on a build worker with its own concurrency limit. Your pool covers running bots.

Can I use CGO?

No. Builds are static, which keeps the sandbox image small and the binary portable between nodes.
