About HostDC

HostDC is a small hosting platform made for keeping Discord bots online; small always-on scripts run here too. It runs bots written in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Go, Java, Rust, C# and PHP in locked-down sandboxes on our servers in Europe.

How it is funded

HostDC is run by a small team and paid for out of our own pocket. Ads help cover the servers: Google ads and sponsored ads on the Free plan, only sponsored ads on the paid plans and the Pro trial. Four paid plans, billed by card through Stripe, help too: Mini at $9.99 a year, Lite at $1.69 a month, Pro at $2.49 a month and Max at $4.49 a month. You can cancel any time. The free plan has no end date. See pricing for what each plan changes.

What we promise

  • Your token is encrypted and never shown again, not even to you, a collaborator or an admin.
  • Your bot is isolated. Each one runs as an unprivileged user with capabilities dropped, under gVisor where available, with its own /app volume.
  • We list what we do not support: no custom images, and a bot can't play audio itself. Pro and Max host a Lavalink server next to your bot for that, Lite can add one, and Free and Mini connect to one you run elsewhere.
  • You can export your data. Request an export from your account page and you get a zip of your files, settings and history.

What we do not promise

We do not promise perfect uptime. Nodes fail, and when one does, a bot's /app volume does not follow it to another machine. Paid plans take daily snapshots for that reason. On Free, keep your own copy.

Getting started

Pick a runtime: Node.js, Python or Go have their own guides, and Bun, Java, Rust, .NET and PHP are on the Create bot form. You can also read free Discord bot hosting explained first.
